Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Awinbuy.com ("Awinbuy," "we," "us," or "our") operates an online platform that includes an e-commerce marketplace, dating and social features, job listings and applications, reels and other digital entertainment, and vehicle listings. Our business address is Wallingford, CT 06492, United States. Privacy requests and support go to info@awinbuy.com.

This Privacy Policy applies to awinbuy.com and to the Awinbuy services that link to it. It is the privacy policy for our Google OAuth application. If you do not agree with this policy, do not use Awinbuy or sign in with Google.

2. Information we collect

The data we collect depends on the features you use. We collect the following categories.

Account, marketplace, and payment information

Identity and contact data: name, email address, phone number, and shipping and billing addresses.

Account data: username, password (stored only as a cryptographic hash), account role (buyer, buyer and seller, or vendor), and profile details you add.

Transaction data: items viewed, cart contents, orders, purchase history, seller messages, return requests, refund choices, and store-credit balance.

Payment data: payments are processed by third-party processors, including Stripe, PayPal, and Apple Pay. Those processors collect your card or wallet details. Awinbuy receives a confirmation, a limited payment reference, and the payment method type. We do not store full payment-card numbers on Awinbuy servers.

Membership data: Prime status, subscription history, and benefits when you enroll in Prime.

Dating and social features

If you use dating or social features, we collect the profile and activity data you submit: photos, gender, sexual orientation, dating preferences, biography, interests, and in-app messages and interaction history.

Jobs

If you apply for a job or post a listing, we collect employment history, education, resumes, cover letters, skills, desired compensation, and messages between applicants and employers.

Reels, entertainment, and vehicles

If you use reels or other entertainment, we collect viewing and listening activity, likes, favorites, playlists, and comments. If you browse or list vehicles, we collect the listing details, photos, and messages you submit about that vehicle.

Technical data

Device and log data: IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, pages viewed, and the dates and times of visits.

Cookie data needed to keep you signed in, remember preferences such as currency or delivery area, and protect the site. See section 8.

Precise geolocation, only after you opt in, for location-based features such as local marketplace listings or local dating matches. You can withdraw that consent in your device settings and by emailing us.

3. Google user data

Awinbuy offers Sign in with Google. This section describes exactly how the Awinbuy application accesses, uses, stores, and shares Google user data. It is written for users and for Google OAuth verification.

What we access

When you choose Sign in with Google, Google asks you to approve access. Awinbuy requests only the basic account information needed to create and authenticate your Awinbuy account:

your Google account identifier

your name

your email address

your Google profile picture

Those fields correspond to the Google OAuth scopes openid, email, and profile. Awinbuy does not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, Google Contacts, Google Calendar, YouTube, or any other Google product. We receive only the information Google returns after you approve the consent screen.

How we use it

We use Google user data only to:

create your Awinbuy account or link Google to an existing account

sign you in and keep the session secure

display your name and profile picture in your account

send account, order, and security messages to your email address

detect abuse of the sign-in flow, such as repeated failed or automated attempts

respond to a support or privacy request you send us

How we store it

We store the Google account identifier, name, email address, and profile picture with your Awinbuy account. We keep that information for as long as your account is open. After you delete your account, or after you disconnect Google and ask us to delete the Google fields, we delete or de-identify that Google user data within 30 days, except for records we must keep to complete an order, prevent fraud, or comply with tax or other law. Those retained records are described in section 9 and are not used for any new purpose.

How we share it

We do not sell Google user data. We do not share Google user data with marketplace sellers, employers, advertisers, or data brokers. We do not use Google user data to train public or private machine learning or artificial intelligence models.

We disclose Google user data only to infrastructure and authentication providers that host or secure the sign-in feature on our behalf, under confidentiality duties, or when required by law, or with your separate consent. A merger or sale of Awinbuy may transfer account records, including the Google fields stored in your account. We will notify you before that data is used for a new purpose.

4. Limited Use of Google user data

Awinbuy's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy (developers.google.com/terms/api-services-user-data-policy), including the Limited Use requirements.

In particular:

We use Google user data only to provide or improve user-facing features that are visible in Awinbuy, as described in section 3.

We do not transfer Google user data to others except where needed to provide or improve those user-facing features, to comply with applicable law, in connection with a merger or acquisition with notice to you, or with your consent.

We do not use or transfer Google user data for serving advertisements, including retargeting, personalized advertising, or interest-based advertising.

We do not allow humans to read Google user data unless you give us affirmative consent for a specific message, it is necessary for security or abuse investigation, it is necessary to comply with applicable law, or the data is aggregated and used for internal operations and cannot be linked back to you.

We do not use Google user data to determine creditworthiness or for lending.

If we ever need to use Google user data for a new purpose, we will update this policy and ask for your consent before that new use begins.

5. Facebook and other sign-in providers

If you choose Login with Facebook, we receive the profile information you authorize, which is typically your name, email address, and profile picture, and we use it only to create and sign you in to Awinbuy. We do not post to Facebook for you. If you use a share button, you send that share yourself to the network you pick.

6. Sensitive data

Some information is sensitive personal data under the Connecticut Data Privacy Act and similar laws. This includes precise geolocation, sexual orientation, sex life, biometric information, genetic data, racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, health information, citizenship or immigration status, and personal data of a known child.

Awinbuy collects sensitive data only when you opt in, for example if you add sexual orientation to a dating profile or allow precise location. We do not require biometric verification to shop. If a future feature uses biometrics, we will ask for a separate opt-in before any collection. You may withdraw consent at any time by emailing info@awinbuy.com or using the control in the feature. We will stop processing that sensitive data unless a narrow legal exception applies.

7. How we use information

We use personal information to:

create and secure accounts, including one-time passcodes

fulfill orders, delivery, returns, refunds, and store credit

show your orders, messages, and saved items

match dating profiles or job opportunities based on preferences you submit

recommend products, reels, or listings on Awinbuy from your activity on Awinbuy

operate Prime and show the benefits tied to your membership

send transactional messages about verification, orders, returns, and security

send promotional email only if you subscribe or we are allowed to do so, with an unsubscribe link in each message

send promotional text messages only with your separate consent. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP to end promotional texts. Verification and security texts may continue while your account is open

prevent fraud, enforce our terms, and protect other users

comply with law, tax, and lawful requests

Personal information collected on Awinbuy is not sold. It is not used to train public large language models or other public artificial intelligence systems. We will not use it to train a private model unless you first give a separate opt-in consent for that use.

8. Cookies

We use cookies and similar storage for these purposes:

Essential: a sign-in cookie named token, security, and load balancing. The site does not work as a signed-in service without these.

Preferences: currency, delivery area, and a "remember me" choice that can last up to 30 days.

We do not use advertising cookies and we do not allow third parties to collect your activity on Awinbuy for their own advertising. If we add analytics or advertising cookies later, we will update this policy first and, where the law requires it, ask for consent before those cookies run.

Awinbuy honors Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals sent by your browser. A recognized GPC signal is treated as a request to opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, and profiling under laws that require us to honor it.

9. How long we keep information

1. Account profile and sign-in data: for the life of the account, then deleted or de-identified within 30 days after a deletion request, subject to the exceptions below.
2. Orders, payments, refunds, store credit, and tax records: up to 7 years, so we can complete accounting, tax, and dispute duties.
3. Dating and other user messages: until you delete them or delete your account, plus up to 90 days in backups.
4. Job applications: until you delete them, or for 3 years, whichever comes first. A copy you submitted to an employer is then controlled by that employer.
5. Security logs: up to 12 months, unless we need a specific log longer to investigate abuse.
6. One-time passcodes: only until they expire or are used, and then deleted.

10. How we share information

We share personal information only as follows. We do not sell it for money or other valuable consideration.

Marketplace sellers receive the name, delivery address, and contact details needed to ship an order or process a return.

Payment processors (Stripe, PayPal, and Apple Pay) and fraud-prevention vendors receive the data needed to take payment, issue a refund, and block fraudulent transactions.

Shipping carriers receive the name, address, and phone number needed to deliver a package.

Employers receive the application materials you choose to submit to them.

Other users see the profile, listing, comment, or message you choose to publish or send.

Service providers who host, email, or support Awinbuy may process data only on our instructions.

Authorities receive information when a subpoena, court order, or applicable law requires it, or when we believe disclosure is needed to prevent serious harm or fraud.

Sponsored listings are paid placements from sellers. They are chosen from the page or category you are viewing. Opting out of targeted advertising, in section 11, stops use of your personal information to personalize those placements across the site. You may still see a sponsored label on a listing for the category you opened.

11. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, including if you are a Connecticut resident, you can request to:

access the personal data we hold about you

correct inaccurate personal data

delete your account and associated personal data

opt out of targeted advertising, sale or sharing of personal data, and profiling used to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects

withdraw consent for sensitive data

appeal a refusal of a privacy request. We will answer an appeal within 60 days. If we deny the appeal, we will tell you how to contact the Connecticut Office of the Attorney General

We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. If a feature needs the data you asked us to delete, that feature will stop working.

We respond within 45 days. We may extend that period once by another 45 days when the request is complex, and we will tell you why. We may ask you to confirm that you own the account before we act. An authorized agent may submit an opt-out request if the agent provides proof of authority and, where the law allows us to ask, we can confirm the request with you.

Deletion does not erase records we must keep for tax, fraud prevention, chargebacks, or an active legal claim. Those records stay restricted to that purpose.

12. How to submit a request

Email info@awinbuy.com with the subject line "Privacy Request." Include your account email or phone number and the right you want to use (access, correction, deletion, opt-out, or appeal). You may also use any privacy control we later add inside your account. Those requests go to the same process.

13. Children

Awinbuy is for people 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If we learn that a minor has given us personal data, we will delete it. Email info@awinbuy.com if you believe a minor has an account.

14. International users

Awinbuy is operated in the United States. If you use the service from another country, your information is processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from the laws where you live.

15. Security

We use HTTPS in transit, limit employee access to personal data, and rely on payment processors that handle card data under payment-card security standards. No website can guarantee perfect security. Use a unique password and contact us if you believe your account was accessed without permission.

16. Changes to this policy

We will post changes on this page and revise the "Last updated" date. If we materially change how we use Google user data, we will notify you and ask for consent before the new use starts. Continued use of Awinbuy after the new date means you accept the updated policy for data that does not require a fresh consent.
